 Boarding Opportunity at Little Creek

As a public park, Little Creek Horse Park adheres to the mission of serving the community. Horses accepted at Little Creek must be appropriate and willing to participate regularly in one of the on-site riding lesson programs. Being part of the barn community at Little Creek means supporting the park’s goals in equine education, public access and volunteerism.

Atlanta Riding Academy is a Hunt Seat lesson program based at Little Creek. If the program has an available stall, applications will be reviewed for qualified horses.

To be accepted horses must:

  • Be available for use in lessons 2-3 times per week.
  • Must be sound for lessons and agree to a riding evaluation and a vet check.
  • Be between the ages of 5 and 15 years old.
  • Be experienced jumping courses. Max height 2’3.
  • Have great ground manners.

Atlanta Riding is located at Little Creek Farm in Decatur, GA.

Little Creek Farm is historic property located along Peach Tree Creek South Fork. The farm is home to 44 horses. There are 24 acres of fenced pastures and paddocks. There is an indoor arena, an outdoor sand jumping ring, a grass ring for mounted games and some field jumps. The park is owned by Dekalb County and funded by board fees and fundraising efforts of the Little Creek Conservancy.

 

Covered ring has premium footing.
