Atlanta Riding Academy offers a top quality
Hunter/Jumper
lesson and training program. The Academy is for those seeking
excellence in the art, sport and discipline of Hunter/Jumper
riding. Quality, safety and skill building are emphasized
in all aspects of the riding program. The Academy has show-quality
horses and lessons
are on a scenic farm minutes
from Downtown,
Decatur, VHi, East Lake, East Atlanta, Grant Park, Emory, Druid Hills.
While the facility has trails, the hourly rental of horses is not
offered. Anyone taking horses on trails must be enrolled in
lessons.
Lesson availability is limited as the work-load of each
horse
is monitored carefully. Evenings and weekends tend to be in high
demand.
If you are interested in lessons please send an email including
availability, experience and contact infomation. Most clients
can get on the schedule in 2-4 weeks.
The lesson program specializes in the returning adult. Children and
beginners may be accepted on a limited basis. In general, school horses
at the academy are best suited for riders ages 10 and up who have at
least one year of riding experience. No rider is accepted who is not
dedicated to excellence in hunt seat equitation.
Jump
Club
Jump Club is for adult riders looking to improve skills and
learn more about the sport of Hunter/Jumper riding. We meet monthly for
brunch and plan Jump Club events. Jump Club attends clinics and shows
both as spectators and competitors. The Jump Club Show Team competes
fall and spring. You are not required to show to be a member of Jump
Club. There are many ways to participate. The only requirement is that
you seek to improve and grow as a
student of hunt seat equitation. If you think that the only thing
better than riding horses is talking about horses, then Jump Club is
for you.
