Atlanta Riding Academy Stables offers top quality Hunter/Jumper horseback riding lessons and training program. The Academy is for those seeking excellence in the art, sport and discipline of Hunter/Jumper riding.  Quality, safety and skill building are emphasized in all aspects of the riding program. The Academy has show-quality horses and lessons are on a scenic farm  minutes from Downtown, Decatur, VHi, East Lake, East Atlanta, Grant Park, Emory, Druid Hills. The hourly rental of horses is not offered. Anyone taking horses on trails must be enrolled in lessons. Lessons are provided at Little Creek Horse Farm in Decatur. Training board is offered on a limited basis at Jump Club Acres located just off 285.

The lesson program specializes in the returning adult. Children and beginners are also accepted. In general, school horses and lesson content at the academy are best suited for riders ages 8 and up who have some prior riding experience. Emphasis is placed on riders dedicated to excellence in hunt seat equitation. Riders work towards individual goals based on interest and experience. Instruction is based on having fun and being safe while improving your horsemanship skills! As part of the Atlanta Riding Academy family you will enjoy other horse related activities such as:

  • Client Horse Shows and Field Trips on and Off-site
  • Outings to Cross Country Courses
  • Movie Nights to watch instructional videos
  • The One-Star and Two-Star Program
  • The Atlanta Riding Boot Camp - Geared towards kids & teens; spend your school vacation as a working student and learn the ins-and-outs of owning your own horse!

Jump Club

Jump Club is for adult riders looking to improve skills and learn more about the sport of Hunter/Jumper riding. We meet monthly for brunch and plan Jump Club events. Jump Club attends clinics and shows both as spectators and competitors. The Jump Club Show Team competes fall and spring. We show locally at the Georgia International Horse Park and at Wills Park at HJ Fox and GHJA shows. You are not required to show to be a member of Jump Club. There are many ways to participate. The only requirement is that you seek to improve and grow as a student of hunt seat equitation. If you think that the only thing better than riding horses is talking about horses, then Jump Club is for you.

Board
Board is now available at our satellite location, Jump Club Acres and also stalls for horses in training can be obtained at our home location, the newly remodeled Little Creek Horse farm in Decatur.
